Job Description:
Position Summary:
Performs general nuclear medicine examinations, including on call services, therapeutic procedures and PET/CT patient exams in a hospital based, acute care environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program or equivalent.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • Preferred: One (1) year post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Essential Job Functions:
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

  • Performs nuclear medicine quality control measures, patient exams and procedures as requested by the medical staff.
  • Assists the Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
  • Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing and archival of exams and procedures
  • Completes documentation for all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving and retrieval of exams.
  • Verifies written/electronic orders and related health information to insure the timely performance and reporting of NM exams and procedures.
  • Participates in the implementation, monitoring and improvement of the hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.
  • Completes appropriate documentation for the administration, receipt/return, decay and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance for state and/or federal regulations.

Schedule Requirements
  • This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
  • The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Compensation: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
